STAND
for the Protection of Children
and Youth

STAND for the Protection of Children and Youth is a program of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

All volunteers in Resurrection Parish and Resurrection/St. Paul School are required to participate in STAND training. Volunteers who work with children are required to complete the highest level of the STAND process before beginning their volunteer service.

On line STAND training is now available. The user name: Resurrection and the password: archbalt. Click here  to begin the training.  The on line course takes approximately 1 1/2 hours to complete and you should print a certificate of completion. The certificate of completion should be returned to the church or school along with your volunteer forms. STAND volunteer application and criminal background check forms can be found at:  http://www.archbalt.org/STAND/volunteers.cfm

STAND for adults is available on the second Monday of every month from
7-9pm except June, July and December
.  These dates are published in the bulletin.  The training is usually held in the Pastoral Center. Registration is required. The deadline to register is 5:00 pm the Thursday before the training. To register, call Ginny Ryan 410-461-9111 x223 or e-mail her at gryan@res-ec.org.  She will get back to you to confirm your registration or to let you know that the session is full and to reschedule you for a later date. Leaving a message does not guarantee that you are registered.
Please arrive 5 early to fill out paperwork. If you arrived late you may have to repeat  the training. Before attending the video training you can fill out the packet that has a volunteer application, and a consent form for a criminal background check. This will begin the process and is the most time consuming. You can obtain a packet from the parish or school office.

Worthy of the Call Training for teens ages 14-17

There is also specific training for volunteers ages 14-17. The name of this program is Worthy of the Call. Training for this age group is done as necessary. These dates are also published in the bulletin.  Please plan to arrive 5 minutes before the starting time to sign in and fill out some paperwork. Training sessions start on time as to be respectful of everyone's busy schedule. If you arrive late you may have to repeat the training.
