Folk Group Information and Announcements
The "Contemporary Music Ministry" of Resurrection goes by many different names. We are also referred to as "the Folk Group" (dating many of us) and the 9:00 Music Ministry. We answer to all 3.
We are a group of parishioners that are dedicated to offering our voices and instrumental talents every Sunday throughout the year at the 9:00 mass. We range from ages 16 to (won't give that up) but many of us have been part of this ministry for 15 to 20+ years. New blood, voices and talents, are always welcome. We practice weekly on Wednesday evenings. We combine with the Choir for Confirmation, Triduum and special Masses. We are the "rock and roll" musicians and the liturgical music that I select hopefully helps the congregation have an uplifting experience and helps raise their voices in song to the Lord.
