Fr. John has been a priest for 33 years. He came to Resurrection in July of 2009. Preaching and visiting parishioners homes are the favorite parts of ministry for him. He also enjoys traveling and the out of doors.
My given name is "John", but somehow I got the name "Skip" as a little boy. My family and friends call me "Skip" and I hope you will as well. My wife Janet and I have been extremely blessed to be part of the Resurrection community over the past 10 years and look forward to helping you encounter the Lord, love His Mother, and serve His Church.
By the way, I like oldies from the 50's and 60's, chocolate anything, Italian wine, the Ravens, but most of all being with my family and friends.

When I was a kid, I wanted nothing more than to be a Ghostbuster. In college, I made a name for myself by writing an 80-page paper the night before it was due and starring in a homemade Batman film as Robin with over 200,000 views on YouTube. My greatest accomplishment is being a husband and a father. I am a convert to Catholicism thanks to an amazing youth ministry program as a teen. I love running, movies and video games. I don't like horses, the color lime green and any amusement park ride that spins you around in circles. I have 12 years of experience working in parish and diocesan youth ministry.
I have four years of youth ministry experience. Before that, I was a Lifeteen kid myself! I love meeting new people, going on adventures, and continually learning about our Faith. I am so excited to be here and to become a part of your Church family!
Stephen enjoys playing piano, organ and singing for the weekend liturgies, conducting the choir, the youth ensemble and the 515 band. He plans the music, schedules the musicians and rehearses them throughout the year.
His music philosophy can be summed up in a quote by the famous jazz musician Duke Ellington: "If it sounds good, it is good."
